It's my personal beelif that the solution to jam start booing is not to change the rules, but to educate the fans. Since most of the fans who boo are skaters, then I'll start there. I find the diversity of jam starts fascinating because I see all these things going on in real time and the phenomenal complexity of war game strategy going on on the track, even when someone appears to be doing nothing or not skating. But most of the skaters I interact with need the speed slowed down or the circles and arrows to start to get the details of this really exciting interaction. Amazing how slowing down already slow derby can start to bring to light the incredible game of derby!I'm on my little one woman crusade to help people love all this stuff! Glad it's working, one skater at a time. :)
